The duty callout officer was contacted by Cleveland Police at 10pm last night Sat the 7th of July with an equiry regarding assistance to potential search locations West of Eston Transmitter. No further action was subsequently required by CMRT.
Sunday the 8th of July at 11.32 we were called out by NEAS (North East Ambulance Service) to attend a person reported part way up Roseberry Topping who needed medical assistance after a family member had raised the alarm. A HART resource (Hazardous Area Response Team) had also been despatched to the location, and after some attention the casualty was assisted to walk back to the car park at Newton under Roseberry.
Sunday the 8th of July at 18.16 we were called out by YAS (Yorkshire Ambulance Service) to a reported man collapsed near Rievaulx. The team responder with our 2 Land Rovers and met up with the YAS crew who took the casualty to hospital.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.
