Incident 30 Rescue Gribdale

Tuesday 15th May 1400hrs
We were called to a fallen climber to Cooks Crag near Captain Cooks Monument at Gribdale.
A Newcastle lady had fallen around 3 metres whilst scrambling on the crags with two friends. We managed to drive in our Landrover ambulance to the Monument before walking to the incident site with first aid equipment. She was treated at the scene by team members before being carried on a mountain rescue stretcher 400 metres to the nearest forestry track and our second Land rover.
The lady was then transported to the car pack at Gribdale and taken to James Cooke Hospital for treatment.
14 team members were involved for an hour and a half.
