Monday 26th March 19:30hrs.
We were asked by NEAS (North Eastern Ambulance Service to assist with a casualty on Eston Moor. A dog walker had tripped and injured his leg.
We deployed our landrover ambulances to the scene but stood down quite quickly as Cleveland Fire brigade were on exercise in the area and were able to evacuate the injured man in their 6 wheel drive vehicle.
27 team members were on route for the incident that lasted 30 minutes.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.
