Sunday 20 Sept (1230hrs)
The team were requested to provide assistance to Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) with the extrication of an injured walker with a lower leg injury on Farndale Moor. Both Land Rovers and other team members were deployed to the RV at Lion Inn on Blakey Ridge. Once the Rovers arrived , they collected the available team members for the 4km drive to the casualty site..Those team members who arrived after the Rovers left the RV, remained on stand by at Lion Inn. One of the Land Rovers also guided the ambulance towards the location. The person was treated on scene by medics from Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Following treatment ,the casualty was carried to the ambulance.

Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.

STOKESLEY SHOW
The team attended their last show of the year at Stokesley on Saturday 19th Sept. Thankfully the weather was a great improvement on last year with sunny spells after the early short rain shower.
A number of Support and Search and Rescue members attended . The Land Rover blue lights proved a great hit with the youngsters. Along with meeting a steady flow of people at the stall, a few helped a member of the public with a broken pushchair, ensuring the mother had a working pushchair for the remainder of the day.
Thanks to everyone who has visited the team across the various shows attended this year. Thanks for your contribution , whether cash in the buckets or by buying merchandise.. Your help is essential to keeping the team operational.
