Saturday 20th June (1710hrs)
The team were contacted by Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to provide assistance to a horse rider who can come off a horse in a filed close to Mulgrave Farm, close to Ugthorpe.
The team sent one Land Rover, with other members in their vehicles to Manor Farm.the other Land Rover left the Cleveland Hike event at Cropton. 2 team members arrived at the RV as the ambulance crew were able to walk the casualty to the ambulance. All other members were stood down before arriving at the RV.
We wish the casualty a speedy recovery
15 team members were involved for approximately 1.25 hours
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.

FUNDRAISER at THE BUCK INN, CHOP GATE
Earlier this year the team attended two rescues in the Chop Gate area. To show their appreciation for the efforts of the team,, a fundraising event was organised at the Buck Inn on 20th June. The event consisted of a folk group playing, along with a raffle and other activities. Two members of the support group, Kath and Mary attended.
The event raised a total of £418 which was split evenly between the team and the local air ambulance service.
The Buck Inn hold regular events to support the team. Thanks to all involved, once again.
