Over the weekend team members were involved in various activities finishing with a call out on Sunday evening.
Starting on Friday morning , two members attended the North East SRA medical master class. The course continued into Saturday with a further two members attending to assist as casualties for the various medical scenarios.
On Sunday, Carl with trainee search dog Lady were out in the Yorkshire Dales area training, while a number of team members were involved in a multi agency search and rescue training exercise organised by the RAF Mountain Rescue Team base at Leeming. The exercise took place around Square Corner / Black Hambleton area with the team assisting the RAF personnel in searching for the 2 people who had ejected before the aircraft crashed.
With all involved back home, the team received a call to assist ambulance service on Sunday evening.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.
