Ambulance Assist at Capt. Cook Monument

FRIDAY  06th Mar (2155hrs)

North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) contacted  the team requesting assistance with a person who had a head injury following a fall about 200m from Captain Cook’s monument. The team despatched a crewed Land Rover  and other team members in their own vehicles to Gribdale Gate. Once at Griddle Gate the Land Rover continued up the track to the casualty site. En route the Rover picked up the NEAS personnel. At the casualty site, the person was assessed by the paramedic. The person was able to walk to the Rover to be transferred to the waiting ambulance at Griddle Gate.

16 team members were involved for approximately 2 hours.
