SUNDAY (1105hrs)
The Team were contacted by North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) to provide assistance to an ambulance crew dealing with a medical emergency on the golf course of Middlesbrough Golf Club. The team were being requested to extract the person from the course to the ambulance.
Sadly, by the time the team arrived, the casualty had died on scene.
The body was recovered by the team to an ambulance at the Golf Club

Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.

LAST TRAINING SESSION OF 2025
Wednesday 17th Dec, was the team’s last training session for the year. The session involved a search with a subsequent find of a certain person in red who had been out test flying a sleigh. Unfortunately, in the very wet and windy conditions the sleigh had come down in a steep ground area close to Captain Cooks Monument. Following a trail of information to lead the team to the find site, Santa was medically assessed and treated accordingly. A technical back up rope system was set up to extract the VIP, on the stretcher, up the steep ground area.
We can confirm that Santa is now safely back home and able to prepare for the big day next week.
Well done to the probationary members for planning and organising the session and thanks to Kath for her acting role.
