At 1100 today, members of Cleveland MRT gathered for our annual Remembrance Day walk to the memorial of a nearby Second World War aircraft crash site, on the path up towards Captain Cook’s Monument, to pay our respects to all those who have sacrificed in the service of their country.
Thanks to team members Kath, who organised the attendance and performed the recital of remembrance, and Andy who laid the wreath on behalf of the Team.
Thanks to those members of the public including runners and walkers who stopped to pay their respects.

Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.

PRE HOSPITAL CARE TRAINING
Earlier this week,4 team members attended Yorkshire Regional Group of Faculty of Pre-Hospital Care event. The evening covered Extrication and InterAgency working at a West Yorkshire Fire Rescue Service (WYFRS) facility..Discussed the considerations for casualty handling and InterAgency working across a variety of medical scenarios with WYFRS demonstrating various extrication techniques. A very interesting evening with some learning points which the team can carry into the situations we deal with.
The vehicle from Sytner, Mercedes of Teesside was used to attend the event. A great resource for non front line activities.
