WEDNESDAY 20 AUG (1340 hours)
The team were contacted by Cleveland Police to assist with the search for a missing person in Saltburn area. One of the Land Rovers and the Incident vehicle were at Egton show when the call was received. Both vehicles left the show to travel to Saltburn with the other Rover also deployed. Team members and vehicles headed to a RV in Saltburn.
As members arrived they were deployed. With 2 teams deployed , others at RV preparing to deploy and some travelling to Saltburn, the team were informed by Police, the missing person was found.
A total of 22 members , including 4 support members were involved for approx 2.5 hours on call out 48.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.
