Over the previous few weeks the team have been involved in various training sessions which have included a water session at Scaling Dam, search and rescue exercise in Clay Bank area and a small group becoming familiar with the newly received drones. This Wednesday it was completely different, a photo shoot.
To mark the 60th year of the team, Karen Harland very kindly took a number of photos of the team at the base and in the vicinity of Roseberry Topping .We also managed to get a photo with Mark Phalp, the farmer at Aireyholme farm who regularly provides access to Roseberry via his land.
Further images from the evening can be viewed on Karen’s Facebook page:
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.
