WEDNESDAY 04 JUNE (1605 hrs)
The team were contacted by North East Ambulance service to provide assistance with the extrication of a casualty with poor mobility on the riverside footpath close to Yarm.
One Land Rover with a full crew and other members in their vehicles headed to the RV in Egglescliffe village . On arrival at the RV, the Rover proceeded directly to the casualty site on riverside. At the site, the casualty was assisted into the vehicle and driven to the waiting ambulance.
We wish the casualty a speedy recovery.
14 team members involved for approximately 2 hours
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.
