THURSDAY 22 MAY (1320 hrs)
The team were contacted by North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust to provide assistance with the extrication of a casualty to a waiting ambulance from a difficult location close to Kirkleatham Walled Garden .
On arrival of the Land Rover , the stretcher, wheel and casualty bag were deployed to the casualty site. Once the person was packaged in the stretcher ,the team transferred the casualty to the ambulance.
We wish the casualty a speedy recovery.
11 team members involved for approximately 1.5 hours
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.
