Noah Elgie, who completed the Whalebones Walk 2025 and was the youngest participant at 10 years old, visited the Team Base to hand over his £135 sponsorship..The sponsorship was collected from friends, family and his teachers at St Benedicts Primary School, Redcar.
At the end of the tour of the Base , Noah was presented with a goody bag of CMRT merchandise.
He is a keen footballer who plays for a number of local teams. He also enjoys cross country at school and a range of other sports.
On a close look at the photos, you will notice he has a moon boot on. The ankle injury was the result of football, not due to the walk!!
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.
