MONDAY 12th MAY (1325 hours)
The Team was contacted by Yorkshire Ambulance Service (YAS) to assist a walker who was feeling unwell and breathless at the top of Ingelby Incline.
One Land Rover and other team members in their vehicles headed to BankFoot, near Ingelby Greenhow. From this location, appropriate vehicles then travelled to the Incline At the bottom of the Incline, the ambulance paramedic transferred to the Land Rover, to be transported up to the casualty site. The paramedic assessed the casualty and deemed it appropriate for the person to be transferred down to the ambulance as a seated passenger in the Land Rover.
We wish the casualty a speedy recovery
14 team members were involved for about 2 hours
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.
