THURSDAY 8TH MAY (10:30)
The Team were called by North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (NEAS) to assist a crew with an unconscious casualty in the Highcliff Nab area of Guisborough Woods. Thankfully, the ambulance crew, with the help of several police officers, managed to locate and treat the casualty and then carried them a short distance to the ambulance.
We wish the casualty well with their recovery.
16 team members responded for about 90 minutes. A number of whom were holding position at Team Base in case they were required to provide assistance.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.
