Whalebones Walk 2025

Thank you to the 120 competitors who took part in the Whalebones Walk on Sunday. Sorry the weather was not that kind with showers and a strong head wind.

To date their efforts  have raised £1675 with more sponsorship to come in

Unfortunately, one competitor slipped and sustained a lower leg injury . The team responded to the incident, providing medical care and evacuating the person to  Sandsend car park for transfer to an ambulance. We wish the casualty a speedy recovery.

Thank you to Skelton Coaches  for providing the transport to Whitby and Bakes By the Sea for donating cakes .

A couple of people deserve a special mention.

Noah Elgie, aged 10, completed the course as the youngest competitor

Andy Pearson, a member of the Team , broke the course record ,completing the distance of approx 22 miles in 3 hours 30 mins. Andy took the record from fellow team member Sid Bollands. Hopefully, Sid is not too upset.
