Meet our new Support Team members, Tracy, Mike, Mary, Lorna, Paul & Chris (not pictured). They joined as prospective Support Team members a year ago and have successfully completed prospective and probationary periods to become full members.
During this period they were involved in various training sessions (equipment familiarisation, Basic Life Support & driving of team vehicles) along with various activities to support the team (fundraising events, street collections, marshalling and acting as a body at S&R training events)
They are a great addition to our already well established and successful Support & Fundraising Team.
The Support Team will be out and about at various events this year so please come and say hello if you see us.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.

CHARM BRACELET TRAIL EVENT
Early on Sunday morning, a few support team members were in Saltburn to cheer on the participants and to collect donations for the team at the Charm Bracelet Trail event.
They were at the base of the Cleveland Way steps behind The Ship to give encouragement to the participants as they headed down the coast line following the King Charles III path to either Staithes or Whitby.
Thank you to the runners , walkers and members of the public who raised approx £85 for the team, with others promising to donate online. Also, thanks to the event organisers Tim and Kath for allowing the team to attend.
The early sunrise photo gives an indication of the very early start to ensure they were in place before the road closures for the British Cycling Road Race.
