That’s it over for another year !
This year’s event was using Ingelby Arncliffe as the base with the route covering the north western area of the North York Moors. A distance of approx. 25 miles taking over 150 participants over to the Black Hambleton area , Whorlton/Snilesworth Moors, Carlton Bank and down to Faceby/Swainby areas.
The weather could have been kinder, being dry in the morning but rain across the moors in the afternoon. All finishers received a commemorative badge celebrating the 40th edition and the 60th year of the team.
A special mention to two of the participants who were at their 40th Survival. You know who you are. Thank you for your continuous support of the team over those 40 years.
Thank you to all participants in supporting the team and hope to see you in 2026.

Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.

CHARM BRACELET TRAIL EVENT
Early on Sunday morning, a few support team members were in Saltburn to cheer on the participants and to collect donations for the team at the Charm Bracelet Trail event.
They were at the base of the Cleveland Way steps behind The Ship to give encouragement to the participants as they headed down the coast line following the King Charles III path to either Staithes or Whitby.
Thank you to the runners , walkers and members of the public who raised approx £85 for the team, with others promising to donate online. Also, thanks to the event organisers Tim and Kath for allowing the team to attend.
The early sunrise photo gives an indication of the very early start to ensure they were in place before the road closures for the British Cycling Road Race.
