As he takes his annual tour around Great Ayton helped by members of the Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team he will be raising funds to support All Saints Church.
Father Christmas will be on the sleigh and will be giving out presents to the children.
Santa’s Sleigh helpers are back this year. Please respect social distancing when putting a donation in the buckets. Thank you for supporting the collection.
All Saints Church dates to the 12th century and served as the parish church of Great Ayton until 1876 when Christ Church was built.
The church is closely linked to Captain James Cook, the 18th century navigator, explorer, and cartographer.
We’ve had confirmation from the elves and we’re excited to say that Santa’s Sleigh is on its way! You will be able to track Santa live around Great Ayton using our Santa Sleigh Tracking App.
Tracking this year will be supplied by Studio Botez on their website. To find out more follow the link below.
Throughout the year Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team members are available to help in our communities. This can range from rescuing members of the public injured in the countryside, search for people who have found themselves in difficult through to supporting councils deliver services to remote and rural areas that can become cut off due to bad weather or deployment of our specialist water team to assist in local resilience activities with the Fire Service and Coastguards.
If you would like to support the team into 2022 please take a look at our Amazon Wish list. Hot tea and coffee after a long search or rescue when out in the cold and rain is always greatly received!
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.Join Now
