CLEVELAND MRT 2023 REVEIW

It’s that time of year where we look back on the past 12-months! We’ve actually been a little less busy than normal, which is a good thing as it means fewer people needed our help. But we still recorded 76 calls for assistance from the police and ambulance services, resulting in 51 call-outs (in recent years the average has been…

REDCAR BOXING DAY DIP 2023

Cleveland MRT members were helping out at the Rotary Club of Redcar Boxing Day Dip this morning. Thankfully we had no injuries to deal with but, as is traditional, we provided hot(ish) drinks to the 'dippers' - in fact, there were so many people this year we ran out of hot chocolate towards the end, so apologies if you were…

The money has been counted and we can now reveal (ahead of tonight's 'Strictly' result!) that the grand total was £1,419 - a tremendous amount, especially consider these challenging economic times. Thanks also to the many Team members…

Bike Challenge Fundraiser

Earlier this year we went to the aid of Nick Piper who had sustained serious back injuries whilst participating in a mountain bike event. After treating him at the scene, Team members carried him (with the assistance of other participants and event staff) to an ambulance. By October, Nick had recovered sufficiently well to undertake a personal cycling challenge to…
