Two of our probationer team members got a chance to demonstrate their navigational skills last night as part of a night navigation assessment at the end of their probation period. Well done to both of them for successfully passing in an absolutely pitch black night, with low damp cloud cover and visibility of only a few metres……..perfect testing conditions!
Even in these conditions good knowledge and practice will safely get you through the hills and moors and we encourage everyone involved in the outdoors to practice these essential skills.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.Join Now
