Following an application to the Tees Valley Small Grants Fund Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team have been awarded £1000 from the Agnes Spencer Distribution Fund. We will use this donation to help with the upgrade of our front line medical equipment by purchasing Prometheus Traction Splints for use with serious leg injuries and suction pumps that are used to keep the airway clear of seriously injured casualties.
This year thanks to a number of grants from local companies we have been able to renew our four main medical kits that are carried in our ambulances and used to provide the initial care to our casualties.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.Join Now
