SUMMARY:4-Stops Highcliff Walk 2024
DESCRIPTION:Building on the success of the previous 4-Tops event\, the format will be different this year. The walk (or run if you prefer) starts and finishes at Guisborough Rugby Club\, following the tracks and trails of Guisborough Woods to the top of Highcliff. There will be only route this year and it is much shorter (approx 4-miles\, 300’m ascent) and is hoped to be accessible to all ages. There will be a range of activities along the route to keep the little ones entertained and motivated to get to ‘the top’!. \n\n\n\nIf you have previously enjoyed running our ‘4-Tops’ event\, we hope you will still join us for this shorter route as there is still plenty of elevation to challenge you! There will not be a longer route. \n\n\n\nThroughout the day there will also be a ‘fun day’ at the Rugby Club with various games\, entertainment and refreshments for everyone to enjoy whilst cheering on the participants at the finish line. Everyone is welcome to enjoy the activities at the Rugby Club\, not just walk participants. For those remaining at the Club\, there will be no fee to enter the ‘fun day’ but some activities may have a small charge. \n\n\n\nThe event will be supported by Team members at various check-points with route markings at other locations. Route maps and GPX-files will be available to download.  \n\n\n\nPlease note that parking is not permitted at the Rugby Club for this event\, parking can be found just a short walk away in the nearby Fountain Street Car Park. The Rugby Club offers a fully licensed bar open from midday in the club function room (no muddy shoes etc!). \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nThis is a non-competitive event for individuals\, partners\, group members & friends. Enter on your own or as a group. There will be no timing or prizes but children who take part in the walk will get a certificate for their achievement! Please indicate whether you will be walking or running (just so we can gauge progress on the day).\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTo take part in the walk there is a small entry fee of £10 per party (max 2 adults and up to 3 children under 16). Children under 16 must be accompanied by at least 1 adult per party. When purchasing tickets please ensure you enter the names of all participants. If you wish to enter more than 2 adults or more than 3 children then please make two separate entries. \n\n\n\nDogs on leads are welcome – please make sure that they and any children are capable of manging the distances involved.  \n\n\n\n\n\nEntries will close at 12:00 on Saturday 7th September 2024.  There will be no entries on the day. It is anticipated that registration at the Rugby Club will be from 09:00 hours with a start-time of 10:00-10:30 hours. Cut-off time for all entrants to be back at the finish – 16:00 hours. Details to be confirmed after entries close. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA key element of this event is to raise funds for the Team.
