We are looking for help with raising funds to cover our core running costs so that as a Team we can continue to respond to our search and rescue call outs and maintain our community support work.
We have set ourselves a target of raising up to £30,000 which will help us:
£30,000 will allow us to focus on delivering help and support to our local communities during the coming few months and buy us some breathing space as we look for other funding to stabilise our finances due to the impact of COVID-19.
Local funding bodies have responded positively to our funding applications and so far we have received:
Many thanks to everyone at the Charities Aid Foundation for a grant of
Many thanks to everyone at Two Ridings for a grant of
Many thanks to everyone and the Philanthropic Foundation for a grant of
They also donated a large amount of PPE to help keep our volunteers safe during call-outs
Many thanks to everyone at Tees Valley Community Foundation
for a grant of
Many thanks to everyone at County Durham Community Foundation
for a grant of
Since April we have received £8,000 in grants from the above local Foundations. More recently we have been awarded £20,000 from the National Lottery Community Fund (click for details). These grants will really help us to cover our core running costs until the first part of 2021, enabling us to maintain our community support work and to respond to emergency call-outs over the winter.
A massive ‘thanks’ from everyone involved with Cleveland Mountain Rescue and the people we will be helping over the coming months.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.
