We were contacted by Cleveland Police during the afternoon with a request to assist them in searching for a man who was missing in their area.
A number of Team members reported to our Base and after being briefed were allocated to search parties covering areas between Guisborough and Great Ayton.
During the evening one of our search parties found the missing man who was uninjured and after a short while the Police attended to speak to him, allowing our Team members to return to Base and stand-down.
Thirty-four Team members were deployed on the call-out including two at our Base control room. The deployment lasted approximately 3.75 hours.
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.

Unfortunately due to the overnight rain with more forecast, today's event at Redcar Racing has been cancelled so we will not be there! Statement from the racecourse:
Unfortunately today’s Easter Monday race meeting has been abandoned.
We are bitterly disappointed that racing is not able to go ahead but there is little that can be done given the amount of recent rainfall this morning.
All pre-paid tickets will automatically be refunded, there is no need to contact the racecourse office.
