The team was called out at 6am this morning by Cleveland Police to search Guisborough woods for a male who had found himself somewhat worse for wear overnight and was lost and had apparently hurt his ankle. The male was eventually located having used a somewhat dubious navigation method including following a horse and returned home! He was visited by team members and by Northeast Ambulance Service for a check over. 12 volunteer team members plus more on standby for approx 2hours #didntwantalieinanyway #whythelongface#somuchmorethanmountains
Applications can be made to join the team in a support role (Operational Support) or as a hill going (Search and Rescue) member.
Applications for either role can be made at any time. Intakes for Operational Support members occur at various times of the year. There is one annual intake for Search and Rescue normally each September.

Unfortunately due to the overnight rain with more forecast, today's event at Redcar Racing has been cancelled so we will not be there! Statement from the racecourse:
Unfortunately today’s Easter Monday race meeting has been abandoned.
We are bitterly disappointed that racing is not able to go ahead but there is little that can be done given the amount of recent rainfall this morning.
All pre-paid tickets will automatically be refunded, there is no need to contact the racecourse office.
