Cleveland Mountain Rescue Team would like to acknowledge the financial support, equipment donations, and sponsorship of the following individuals and organisations.
The team would like to thank the residents and visitors of Great Ayton for their very kind donations this morning. We raised £169.15 in three hours. Thank you for your continued support. This money will go towards the general running costs of the team.
We would also like to thank the visitors at last weeks Sutton Bank moors festival for their very kind donations and purchasing our merchandise raising £44.37
Thank you to our team members and families for giving up their valuable time to attend these events.
The teams search dog and trainee search dogs have been given a donation this week from a local gun dog club. The North Yorkshire Gundog Training Group formed last year and work from Carlton Bank on a Tuesday evening. The group decided to collect their weekly subscription and at the end of the year they would be donated to a local charity. We were asked if our teams dogs would be willing to accept the very kind donation of £500 and of course we were more than happy to accept this very kind and very rare donation made direct to the teams dogs.
The money will be used to purchase two Simoco 9170 gps tracking radios. These radios will enable our search managers to be able to track our search dogs on the hill during training and searches.
It is very rare that dog handlers receive money donated directly to be used on specific items of equipment. This donation has been very gratefully received and will be put to very good use. We went along on Tuesday night to collect the donation and say a great big thank to the Gundog club.
If you can support the team or the search dogs in anyway then please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thank you all for your continued support
The team would like to say a massive thank you to everybody who came along and supported us at the Cleveland Show yesterday. We ran a pick a stick, a raffle for one of our special edition team bears and sold lots of merchandise. We managed to raise £472. Without the general public continued support we would not be able to raise the required funds to keep the team running.
Thank you all so much
We would like to say a big thank you to the crew of the Captain Field Platform out in the North Sea. They recently made a very kind donation to us of £400. We were nominated as a local charity to receive some of the funds raised from charity events that the crew hold whilst off shore. This is a very kind donation and the team really appreciate your continued support.
A few team members were invited to Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council's Duke Of Edinburgh Awards Scheme Presentation earlier tonight.
An amazing evening of acheivement - with over 300 participants receiving awards for completing the Bronze, Silver & Gold schemes.
The team were delighted to be awarded a cheque from RCBC Adult & Children Services who run the scheme throughout the area in many of the local schools.
Congratulations to all who achieved the awards and thank you all so much for choosing us to receive such a valued donation.
